Progression & Skills

Your journey on NewWorldSMP isn't just about building a base. As you play, you will level up your MMO skills, complete quests, and earn achievements.

1. Skills (/progression)

Typing /progression (or /level) opens a GUI showing your Global Level and individual Skill levels. You earn XP in these skills passively by playing the game:

• Mining: Earn XP by breaking stone, ores, and deepslate. Higher levels may grant better loot or efficiency.
• Combat: Earn XP by killing mobs and players.
• Farming: Earn XP by harvesting crops like wheat, carrots, and potatoes.
• Building: Earn XP by placing blocks to construct your base.
• Fishing: Earn XP by catching fish.

As you level up these individual skills, your Global Level increases, which unlocks new server features and rewards.

2. Quests (/quests)

Quests provide structured goals that reward you with money, items, or XP. Type /quests to open your active quest log.

• Each quest has specific objectives, such as "Mine 100 Diamonds" or "Kill 50 Zombies".
• You can track your progress via the progress bar in the quest menu.
• Once a quest is marked as COMPLETED, click on it in the GUI to claim your reward (it will then be marked as CLAIMED).

3. Achievements (/achievements)

Unlike quests which might be repeatable or daily, Achievements are one-time milestones. Type /achievements to view them.

• Earning achievements proves your dedication and skill on the server.
• Many achievements grant cosmetic rewards like Chat Titles or Badges for your profile.
